Upham Woods Neighborhood Camp

These mirrored environmental education events will each include canoeing to Black Hawk Island with a hike; Archery; Skins, Scutes, and Scales; and a camp art project. Youth participants must be in 3rd grade or older and families may attend as a unit. We ask that you bring your own bag lunch, (we will not have access to refrigerators, so be prepared)! Registrations for these events will be made in 4-H online. A $25 fee/per person will cover the costs for the day.
Families can come together, bringing their 3rd grade and older youth, to these day-long events or parents can deliver their 3rd grade and older youth to the event for the day.

The schedule for the day will be PACKED, so please come prepared with a good night’s sleep the night before.
Schedule: 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
- 8:45 AM – Registration at the NEW Upper Dells Education and Recreation Center
- 8:46 AM – 4:59 PM – FUN, FUN, FUN
- 5:00 PM – Head Home
Activities throughout the day will include:
- Canoe to and Hike on Blackhawk Island
- Archery
- Camp Arts
- Scales, Scutes & Skins
Items to bring with you:
- Your own lunch – we will not have access to refrigerators, so be prepared
- 2 pairs of CLOSE TOED shoes (and maybe an extra pair of socks, in case one pair gets wet, no flip flops)
- Refillable water bottle
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- Make sure you label all of your personal items
- Backpack/sling pack/etc to keep all of your belongings contained
Optional items to bring:
- You may want to wear a swimsuit for canoeing to Blackhawk Island, but you will be hiking right after canoeing, so please plan accordingly.
What to leave at home:
- Expensive technology items
- Frowns
